Discover Western Australia’s famous wildflowers!

With over 12,000 species of wildflowers, WA boasts the world’s largest collection of wildflowers and many of these species are unique to the region. Witnessing the fields of vibrant colour and blooming wildflowers is a truly stunning sight that WA is famous for. Some of the best places to spot wildflower species such as Acacia, Banksia and Caladenia is Kings Park Botanical Garden in Perth, Cape Le Grand National Park, the Stirling Ranges National Park and Kalbarri National Park. The wildflower season generally commences in June/August in the warmer northern region of the Pilbara and extends south over the winter, culminating in the south west around October/November.

Wildflower viewing: is dependent on mother nature. The rain and sunshine greatly influence the timing and success of each wildflower season and some species require more warmth than others to grow.
