With special access at a private rainforest property, enjoy a short walk along a delightful rainforest creek before a delicious tropical lunch. Enjoy an afternoon refreshment at the Daintree Ice Cream Company. After winding through the rainforest of the Alexandra Range, enjoy this spectacular lookout over the Daintree River estuary, Snapper Island and beyond to the Coral Sea.
Escape into a world of surprises where you can experience first-hand the breathtaking beauty of the Outer Great Barrier Reef. This cruise transfers you to a stable reef activity platform which is a perfect base for swimmers and non-swimmers alike to explore this natural wonder. This afternoon, take the scenic drive to Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures. After arrival, there is then plenty of free time to explore the remainder of the park, including the unique eco experience of the Wetlands cruise through the ecologically significant Melaleuca wetlands, the domain of the saltwater crocodile. On arrival at Freshwater Station, board the Kuranda Scenic Rail for an historical rail journey to Kuranda enjoying breathtaking views across the cane fields of Cairns, to the tropical rainforest of Kuranda. Wind through hand-hewn tunnels, across bridges and curves, all the time appreciating what an amazing engineering feat it is. In Kuranda, it’s time to explore this fascinating Village. The Heritage Markets are full of colourful and interesting arts and crafts. You might also like to visit Birdworld, the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary or Kuranda Koala Gardens (own expense). Board the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway for your 7.5km journey over and through World Heritage protected rainforest to Smithfield. Your 90-minute iconic rainforest experience showcases ancient rainforest and spectacular views with time at both Red Peak and Barron Falls Stations for education and interpretation.
