Ulva Island
While touring with us you will be taken on a lunch cruise on Paterson Inlet, where you will stop at Ulva Island. As a result of its isolation Ulva Island has become an important wild life sanctuary for both plants and a number of endangered birds. In 1997 the island was declared pest free after an eradication program was implemented.
With the island almost completely covered by national park bird species such as the Kiwi, Saddleback and Yellowhead have been able to flourish. During your stay on Ulva Island you will also get a chance to try your hand at a bit of kiwi spotting in the native bush near your accommodation.
