Parliament and The Beehive
The Parliament buildings are located in Wellington, the capital city of New Zealand. A number of key parliament buildings are open to the public for tours enabling visitors to learn about many of the parliamentary buildings, democratic processes and where the house sits.
The beehive is another name for the executive wing of the New Zealand Parliament Buildings, as the building’s shape is similar to that of a beehive. The beehive is also home to the Prime minister’s office on the 9th floor. Free, daily, one hour guided tours of Parliament are offered and begin at the Visitors Centre.
