Mornington Peninsula Wineries

One of the many pleasures of a visit to Mornington Peninsula is a trip to the cellar doors of the local wineries. You may have tried some Mornington Peninsula wine while in Melbourne, but it’s not the same as sampling a glass of the region’s finest while looking out at the vineyards where it came from.

There are more than 50 cellar doors in the region which is known for its pinot noir varieties, cool climate chardonnay and more recently its pinot gris and shiraz. The Mornington Peninsula has a diverse landscape with many different soil types and micro-climates throughout the region meaning there’s plenty of variety in the wine it produces and more for you to choose from!

Make sure you take a bottle or two with you as a souvenir of your time in this beautiful seaside getaway.
