Lamington National Park

Lamington National Park is situated on the McPherson Range along the Queensland and New South Wales border, 85 kilometres from the Gold Coast.

Renowned for its natural beauty, vibrant birdlife and ancient trees, this park was recognised on the World Heritage List and the Australian National Heritage List in acknowledgment of its high biodiversity and evolution of Australia’s modern day flora.

Regarded as one of Queensland’s most loved parks, the 200 square kilometre park’s landscape is characterised by mountain scenery, subtropical rainforests, waterfalls and some of Queensland’s best bushwalking trails.

There are 160km of walking tracks within the park and some of the favourites include the excellent tree-top canopy walk along a series of suspension bridges at Green Mountains. You can walk high above the rainforest canopy, traverse old logging tracks, see ancient forests and hear stories of Queensland’s earliest settlers. It really is a nature lover’s paradise

Lamington National Park provides food and shelter for over 160 species of birdlife, reptiles, frogs, mammals and invertebrates. Listen out for the calls of native birds as you walk through the tree tops high above the rainforest floor.
