Hunter Valley Wineries

The Hunter Valley, famous for its historic towns and award-winning wines, lies north of Sydney past the Hawkesbury mountain range.

This beautiful region has more than 150 wineries including the likes of Lindeman’s, Drayton’s and McGuigan Wines.

The Hunter Valley Semillon is considered the iconic wine of the region amongst the widely grown Chardonnay, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. You can enjoy private tastings at cellar-doors including the world famous Lindeman’s winery where learning about the winemaking process and the history of the industry in the Hunter Valley is all part of the experience. Lindeman’s pioneering winemakers have helped establish the reputation of the region and you’ll enjoy tastings in its original stone-walled cellar.

Visit McGuigan Wines, who are amongst the most awarded wineries in the world and have won 'World's Best Winemaker' three times, most recently in 2012. Not only specialists in fine wine, McGuigan Wines also showcase locally produced cheese, chocolate and fudge at this extensive winery and cellar door. Make sure you try the Hunter Valley Marinated Feta. It’s award-winning and a local specialty!

The Hunter Valley is also home to a number of boutique wineries which have helped give the region its character and charm.
