On arrival at Queenstown Airport you’ll be met and transferred by private car to your hotel. This evening meet your Travel Director and fellow travellers for a welcome reception and dinner.

Start the day with a sightseeing tour of Queenstown and surrounds. Explore Arrowtown, an old goldmining village of the 1860s, located on what was once the world’s richest river. See the Kawarau Bridge, home of the Bungy Jump. Get an adrenalin rush as you experience the Shotover Jet, the most thrilling jet boat ride in the world! Enjoy wine tasting and a relaxing lunch at Gibbston Valley Winery Restaurant and then it’s free time in downtown Queenstown. Tonight, ride the gondola to the top of Bob’s Peak for highlight dinner at the Skyline Restaurant with its stunning views over Queenstown.

Queenstown is home to four ski areas and an exuberant après ski culture. This alpine resort town is a snow-lover’s paradise. All ski fields cater for beginners, advanced skiers, snowboarders and families, with one of the longest seasons in the southern hemisphere. Today is all about exploring. If you’ve already experienced the beauty of Milford Sound, known as the eighth wonder of the natural world, then maybe you’d like to experience another fiord, Doubtful Sound. Either destination is amazing to experience, from the highest peaks to snow falls, waterfalls and wildlife.

Queenstown ‘Free Time’
Now it’s time to relax and enjoy Queenstown at a leisurely pace. Shop, take a stroll, join in a local activity or perhaps another day’s skiing or golf. Ask your Travel Director for details. Tonight enjoy a special farewell dinner at The Bathhouse, an iconic restaurant and historical landmark situated on the shores of Lake Wakatipu.

Feel like a tempting treat? On this holiday when you visit the quaint village of Arrowtown, near Queenstown, the delicious smell of fresh baking tells you the Arrowtown Bakery is just the place to stop to pick up a quick snack. You can try their savoury pies - there are over 10 varieties and venison is a speciality - or sausage rolls. Or a big gooey vanilla slice goes down well with coffee and their freshly baked scones served with jam and thick cream makes the perfect morning or afternoon tea. To ensure your holiday is filled with memorable experiences, we have included a range of quality Optional Excursions for you to choose from and partake in, if you wish, during your holiday. We understand that everyone is an individual, and have therefore allowed some free time for you to experience different types of touring. These have not been included in the tour fare as we realise they may not appeal to all people. Our selection of optional excursions include scenic flights, helicopter rides, cruises, dinners, ballooning, fishing trips, four wheel drive tours, cultural experiences, and even camel riding.

Queenstown Original Wine Trail (Queenstown)

The Queenstown Wine Trail offers a fun, personalised and friendly sightseeing wine tour of vineyards and wineries in New Zealand’s premier wine regions – Queenstown & Central Otago. As the groups are small, you will have time to taste a variety of wines at four Queenstown wineries, sample local cheeses, enjoy a winery lunch at Gibbston Valley Winery (at own expense) and experience spectacular scenery.
The excursions can be booked through your Travel Director. You will be asked during the early part of your tour to name those that you may wish to join, as advance reservations are often necessary. Please note that occasionally weather or seasonal conditions may not permit their operation. Some also depend on a minimum number of participants and suitable time being available.
