Morning of Day 4, Ayers Rock Resort

On arrival at Ayers Rock Airport you will be transferred to the resort (flights to arrive prior to 3.00pm).

View sunset and the changing colours of Uluru while enjoying nibbles and sparkling wine. Continue on to our exclusive venue to enjoy a delicious barbecue dinner and stargazing (weather permitting). Enjoy sparkling wine on arrival and dine on steak, lamb sausages, skewered chicken, garlic prawns and a selection of fresh salads and a tasty dessert.

Hotel: Outback Pioneer Hotel , Desert Gardens Hotel or Sails in the Desert Hotel, Ayers Rock Resort, 3 nights.

Included Meals: Dinner

Rise early to accompany your guide on the 11km walk around the entire base of Uluru. Walk from Kuniya Piti, an Uluru sacred site and hear the Tjukurpa story (beliefs and law of the Anangu, the local Aboriginal people) of the Mala Men. Next up is the Mala Walk, which includes a visit into Kantju Gorge. Continue along the Lungkata Walk where your guide will tell you the Tjukurpa story of the cheeky Blue Tongue Lizard! Next stop is the Mutitjulu Waterhole. Your guide will indicate the natural features of the landscape, Aboriginal rock paintings and relay more traditional stories relating to this special place. Return to Kuniya Piti where you’ll board your coach and receive a certificate of your achievement!

This afternoon travel to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) for one of our favourite sunset experiences. Marvel at the unique flora and admire the view of the central valley of the domes of Kata Tjuta as you take in a magnificent outback sunset while enjoying sparkling wine.

Included Meals: Breakfast

Watch the spectacular sunrise over Kata Tjuta, with Uluru in the distance, from the western dune viewing area. Your Driver Guide will then escort you on a 2-3 hour walk on uneven ground to the Valley of the Winds. With views across the many domes of Kata Tjuta and out into the sacred Anangu men’s area, you’ll be in awe of this natural wonder.

Included Meals: Breakfast

Your short break concludes this morning. You’ll be transferred to Ayers Rock Airport for your onward flight (flights anytime).
