Escape the city for a day of bush walking and Aboriginal culture in the breathtaking scenery of the Blue Mountains. This morning you’ll share in and celebrate the rich history of Aboriginal Darug culture, their land and their people, at Muru Mittigar. Then get ready for the amazing views on your way to and during lunch at the Hydro Majestic Hotel. Now we’ll take you to the pretty Leura Cascades and you’ll finish the day at Echo Point in Katoomba, where you’ll see the Three Sisters sandstone rock formation and hear the Aboriginal legend behind it.

• Visit Muru Mittigar (meaning ‘Pathway to Friends’ in the Indigenous language) Aboriginal Cultural and Educational Centre for an authentic Australian Indigenous cultural experience. Muru Mittigar guides will take you on a journey through exciting and enriching cultural activities and sensory experiences
• Hear the sounds of the didgeridoo, see boomerang throwing and enjoy a traditional morning tea of damper with native tea
• Drive along the Bells Line of Road, an alternative and one of the most scenic routes across the Blue Mountains, with its amazing bushland scenery contrasting with sandstone cliffs
• Arrive for lunch at the Boiler House Restaurant at the Hydro Majestic Hotel, with its jaw-dropping views of the Megalong Valley
• Visit Leura Cascades, with waterfalls and bridges set amidst fern valleys and tall eucalypt trees. Enjoy a short and easy walk and learn the history of the area
• At Echo Point, see the famous Three Sisters rock formation. Choose to join a guided walk to Honeymoon Bridge, where you can take in panoramic views of the Jamison Valley or for those looking for a little more adventure, take the steep stairs that descend to the closest point of the Three Sisters
