Day 1-3
Welcome to Queenstown
Day 1: Welcome to Queenstown

On arrival at Queenstown Airport you’ll be transferred to your hotel. Afterwards you’ll get a feel for Queenstown and surrounds on an orientation tour. See Lake Wakatipu, the Remarkables mountain range and the home of the Bungy Jump at Kawarau Bridge. This evening meet your Travel Director for a welcome reception and dinner at The Boatshed, set in the historic New Zealand Railways Shipping Office built in 1936. Restored and relocated to its lakefront setting, The Boatshed, with its spectacular views of Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables mountain range, is the perfect setting for your highlight dinner with wine.

Day 2: Queenstown ‘Free Time’

You have a free day so why not take an optional experience to breathtaking Milford Sound for a cruise on the majestic fiord.

Day 3: Queenstown ‘Free Time’

Today’s your last chance to soak up the atmosphere in New Zealand’s adventure capital. You could ride the Shotover Jet boat, tempt your tastebuds on a tour of the region’s popular wineries, take a 4WD mini bus excursion through Skippers Canyon, play a round of golf or just explore Queenstown on your own.

Day 4-5
Queenstown – Rotorua
Day 4: Queenstown – Rotorua

This morning, travel to the delightful gold rush village of Arrowtown, on the sparkling Arrow River, once one of the world’s richest rivers. Later, you’ll fly from Queenstown to Rotorua. ( Airfare is not included and must be booked by you or your travel agent.) Be My Guest Dining Icon This evening join your travelling companions for a memorable Be My Guest dinner. Experience the heart-pounding wero (challenge) from a Maori warrior during a Powhiri, a ceremonial welcome, at the Tamaki Family Marae. Journey into the village and gain an insight into life in New Zealand before European settlement. Feast on succulent meats and vegetables cooked in a hangi, the traditional Maori method of cooking in the earth.

Day 5: Rotorua

This morning a local Maori guide will accompany you around the Whakarewarewa Living Thermal Village. See New Zealand’s biggest geyser, bubbling mud pools and thermal springs. Your next stop is Rainbow Springs Nature Park for a tour with a local guide. You may even spot a kiwi! Then visit the Agrodome Farm Show, the multi award-winning stage show, for a taste of farm life.

Day 6
Rotorua – Auckland

Travel to the Waitomo Caves to see the incredible Glowworm Grotto and Limestone Caves with a local guide. Glide silently through the subterranean cavern lit by thousands of tiny glowworms. Later, on arrival in Auckland you’ll see the sights on a city tour. This evening join your Travel Director and new-found friends for a farewell dinner at ‘Eight’ at The Langham. Your personal degustation is prepared for you from the freshest, quality ingredients including mouth-watering seafood and delicious desserts.

The excursions can be booked through your Travel Director. You will be asked during the early part of your tour to name those that you may wish to join, as advance reservations are often necessary. Please note that occasionally weather or seasonal conditions may not permit their operation. Some also depend on a minimum number of participants and suitable time being available.
