Day 1: Brisbane – Lamington National Park
This morning travel to one of Queensland’s secret treasures, Mount Tamborine. Located in the picturesque hinterland behind the Gold Coast, Mount Tambourine is a tropical rainforest populated with distinctive exotic birdlife and colourful flora and fauna. Take time to explore the quaint mountain village with its cottage style B&B’s, cheese factories, wine makers and art and craft shops. Next you’ll visit an Alpaca farm (alternative itinerary on Tuesdays) with time to discover the intriguing animals and product made from its fine fleece. Continuing to World Heritage Listed Lamington National Park and exclusive O’Reilly’s Mountain Retreat.

Day 2: Lamington National Park – Farewell from Brisbane
After a leisurely start to the day where you have the opportunity to enjoy free time to relax or partake in one of the many activities on offer, take a walk high above the rainforest canopy on the O’Reilly’s Tree Top Walk. It allows you to walk through the canopy of flowering and fruiting trees covered by vines and the epiphytic orchids and birds that inhabit the tree tops. Later take the opportunity to get up close and personal to some of Lamington’s iconic King Parrots or Crimson Rosellas and partake in an optional bird feeding experience.
Return to Brisbane early evening, where your short break concludes. You’ll be transferred to Brisbane Airport for your onward flight (flights to depart after 8.30pm)
