Day 1: Sydney – Blue Mountains
Head out of the city and see native birds and wild Eastern Grey Kangaroos in their own habitat. Stop for a morning tea break at Glenbrook where you can refuel for the next adventure, a guided bushwalk at Wentworth Falls (a good level of fitness is required, wear enclosed walking shoes). You will be amazed as your guide introduces you to native flora and fauna as you make your way into the valley of Wentworth Falls. After lunch we descend into the Jamison Valley down the historic Furber Steps. World Heritage rainforest surrounds you as you view Katoomba Falls and the iconic Three Sisters, before you ride the Scenic Railway out of the valley (additional cost). Tonight you’ll stay at the award-winning Katoomba YHA, in a beautifully restored National Trust building. Set in the heart of the Blue Mountains, explore on foot or take a trip on the Trolley Bus to Leura, Echo Point or the Three Sisters. Enjoy the comfort of the log fire, cosy rooms, a great kitchen and fast internet.
Hotel: Blue Mountains YHA Katoomba (Budget), Dormitory, Shared facilities.
Included Meals: Lunch
Day 2: Blue Mountains Free Time – Sydney
You have a free day to explore on your own. Why not discover the delightful village of Leura, which perfectly captures the spirit of the Blue Mountains region. Pop into a café for a bite to eat, stroll along the tree-lined street and be sure not to miss the award-winning chocolate shop! Or perhaps visit the Waradah Aboriginal Centre in Katoomba, where you’ll witness Indigenous culture in a contemporary setting (own expense). This afternoon rejoin your coach and Driver Guide for your return to Sydney, where your Aussie Adventure concludes.
