Day 1: Alice Springs – Uluṟu (Ayers Rock) – Kata Tjuṯa (the Olgas) Sunset

Depart Alice Springs, stopping at a camel farm, where there’s the opportunity to ride one of these ‘ships of the desert’ (own expense). View Atila (Mt. Conner) before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort.

This afternoon travel to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). Marvel at the unique flora while you take in a magnificent outback sunset with gourmet canapés and Australian wine.

Hotel: Outback Pioneer Hotel (Budget), Desert Gardens Hotel (Standard) or Sails in the Desert Hotel (Superior), Ayers Rock Resort, 3 nights.

Day 2: Uluṟu Sunrise & Full Base Walk – Uluṟu (Ayers Rock) Sunset

Watch the first rays of the sun set Uluru alight. After breakfast, begin your base walk of Uluru accompanied by your guide. Walk from Kuniya Piti, an Uluru sacred site and hear the Tjukurpa story (beliefs and law of the Anangu, the local Aboriginal people) of the Mala Men. Next up is the Mala Walk, which includes a visit into Kantju Gorge. Continue along the Lungkata Walk where your guide will tell you the Tjukurpa story of the cheeky Blue Tongue Lizard! Next stop is the Mutitjulu Waterhole. Return to Kuniya Piti and board your coach to receive a certificate of your achievement!

In the late afternoon, witness the striking colour changes of Uluru at sunset while enjoying nibbles and sparkling wine.
