Never has an early morning start been more rewarding. The silent morning air that encompasses the desert landscape of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park is filled with gasps and amazed \u2018ooohs\u2019 and \u2018aaahhs\u2019 as the first group to wander through the desert paths are met by four acres of flowing fibre optics lights. With the majestic Uluru in the background, guests begin to fall into silence as they take in what is truly an unforgettable and life-changing experience.<\/p>\r\n

AAT Kings Day Tours Manager Brett Holmes recounts his first experience of the Field of Light installation:<\/p>\r\n

\u201cAfter a cup of tea, I wandered down to begin my walk amongst the lights, this was a magical and breath-taking experience unlike anything I have ever experienced before.You can find a place all to yourself to stand or crouch in amongst the changing fibre optic lights that gently change from green to red to purple to blue. The lights are so gentle and don\u2019t distract from the clear night sky. I found myself looking at the Milky Way then back to the Field of Light without having to adjust my focus.<\/em><\/p>\r\n

As the morning progressed I could see the Desert Oak trees and spinifex grasses start to appear as the sun began to rise. This added another spectacular element to the morning, the sun slowly rising and taking over as the fibre optic lights ever so slightly started to fade away. So many wow factors in one morning.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\r\n

 <\/p>\r\n

These otherworldly spheres of light are internationally acclaimed artist Bruce Munro\u2019s latest art installation, and his largest to date, with him and his team installing more than 50,000 slender stems crowned with radiant frosted glass spheres in a remote desert area within sight of majestic Uluru.<\/p>\r\n

The Field of Light experience was rated #26 in Time Out\u2019s 50 Best Things to do in the World Right Now<\/a>, and #1 in their Best things to do in Australia<\/a>, and it is easy to see why. The artwork brings to life another spiritual element of the sacred National Park, and the work was inspired by the intense spiritual energy of Uluru, making for a truly magical and deeply spiritual experience for those who are lucky enough to visit.<\/p>\r\n
