Meet Carolyn Tipper ...

I have been working in the tour industry since I was 15 years old. I am now a qualified Natural and Cultural Heritage Guide and have been an AAT Kings Tour Director for over three years.

I am a born and bred Tasmanian and today am lucky enough to guide tour groups around my beautiful home state. I have visited and lived in many other places in this beautiful country but the lure of the apple isle has always managed to pull me back. 

Tasmania has so much to offer from its fresh air, clean water, great quality seafood, cheeses and wines and, of course, absolutely stunning scenery.

Our best kept secrets here are the Tasmanian Wilderness area, the beautiful Gordon River, the Huon Valley region and the architectural styles covering everything form Georgian, Edwardian, Federation to Californian Bungalow styles. Add to this Tasmania’s amazing history of its early settlers, there is so much to see here on this compact, mountainous island.

Some essentials for travelling in Tasmania are hats, water, sunblock, insect repellent and a sense of humour and adventure. This is a truly amazing region and I just love sharing my local knowledge to highlight special spots and hidden secrets with my guests.
